As we move along into Fall, Gr. 3 is doing several Halloween inspired art projects-from jack-o-lanterns to black cats to haunted houses. Maybe some skeletons will soon appear?

 

In Language Arts, 3rd graders are learning about sentances and paragraphs in English. They are reviewing consonants and vowel sounds in Reading as well as learning about Character, Settings and Plot, prefixes, and putting events in order. They are listening to the story "Cricket in Times Square".

In Math, they are working on Rounding numbers and Estimating. They are also working on Place Value and Money. Soon they will be working on Addition of larger numbers.

3rd graders are finishing up our Anti Bullying Curriculum in Heath, studying Urban and Suburban Communities in Social Studies, and working on improving our cursive writing skills.

We are off to a busy start!
