RELIGION

Second Grade is preparing for their First Reconciliation to take place on Sun., April 27th at St. Bernard's Church. Parents have an informational meeting on Sun., April 6th at the church.

In first grade we are learning about being a Good Samaritan. We have also learned that their

Carpet time

We continue to ask our 20's each morning to figure out what animal is hiding in the bucket.

Story Time

We are currently reading Farmer Boy by Laura Ingalls Wilder. We finished reading Little House in the Big Woods. The children enjoy listening to the stories and hearing about frontier life.

Spelling

The children are working on learning their long vowels and their patterns. Please check Agendas each week for our spelling words and the new vowel patterns.

Money Money Money

Who doesn't like to count money. Soon we will be working on counting $ up to one dollar. Mrs. VanHorn's General Store will be open for sales. The students will count out money for practice. Correct counting earns a purchase at the store. Start practicing at home with your own money.
